POSITION PURPOSE
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Protecting all tribal visitors, employees, and property and providing clients who visit the facility with information and directions as needed.
- Conducts regular checks and foot patrols, verbally help, directs, and interacts with clients and visitors.
- Provides reports on any and all occurrences involving safety, vandalism, theft, criminal behavior, and wrongdoing of any kind to the Security Supervisor.
- Reports and documents any suspicious activities to the Security Supervisor and follows up with investigation.
- Participates in safety drills along with employees and patrons that may be in the office(s).
- Reports to work timely and performs assigned duties.
- Wear uniform with immaculate pride and ensures equipment is always functional.
- Possess updated licensure and training as required by the Private Protective Services Board, if applicable.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- 3-5 years of experience in security, investigation, military police, or law enforcement.
- Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written, are essential for the position.
- Candidate must have a good working knowledge of standard fundamentals of security requirements.
- The job requires someone with critical thinking skills who can quickly observe a situation and make the appropriate response.
- Candidates must be able to obtain an Armed Security Guard License for the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board within 90 days of hire.
- A valid NC Driver’s License is required.
